Intro Post!
Welcome, my tasty little sugar cookies!
This marks the first post to the Nea-Politan blog. The following entry will have a quick (and possibly muddled) over-view of what is in store for you if you decide to follow the development of this Pitch.
First, a little on the class:
The Pitch is a course at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) taught by Ray Goto of the Sequential Art Department. The students enrolled in this class will spend ten weeks developing a "Pitch" for a children's animated television series or web comic (or anything, really, the sky is the limit!). Then, at the end of the ten weeks, the students will pitch their idea and production-bible, to Nancy Spears. Nancy is the Content Acquisitions & Product Management at Warner Bros. If she likes your idea, she will work with you in order to make it a reality!
All in all, it is an amazing opportunity and an incredible experience. And I'm lucky enough to be a part of it!
In order to keep my mind on track and really focus on making this story incredible, I have decided to start a Process Blog. In this blog, I will be talking about the development of the story, characters, designs, and anything else that is happening back stage that I think might interest you kids. Also, I would love to hear feedback! Tell me what you think I can do to make things even better!
I will do my best to update this blog every weekend. The next post will be about the initial story idea and I'll include a few early sketches.
Stay tuned!
